I'm not sure if anyone posted this, but I watched an old episode of "Leave it to Beaver" where Wally and Eddy joined a social club. This is from Season 5, Episode 34, "One of the Boys" (1962). Apparently, the other guys were from wealthy families as evident of their cars. Must have been nice to drive a Corvette to high school.

My very first Corvette. 1966 Nassau Blue/blue interior L36 car. I purchased it in August, 1980 for the princely sum of $6,000.00. I loved that car! I had to sell it when I entered law school in 1984.

1965 Corvette Jim Dantzer June 1966 - 1.jpeg
Tony Stein: Another Nassau Blue Coupe, this 1965 L78 ordered for hill climbs in PA by Tom "Groovy" Morgan. Number 188, so Jim Dantzer was driving on June 6th, 1966. Tom Morgan used the number 88 that day.

The front brake cooling ducts were nothing more than "dryer vent hoses", according to Jim Dantzer. A gear drive cam was added in May of '67.
