A couple period pictures from around 1970 or so. The previous owner in Detroit loving the west coast look. Now the car is on the west coast.

do you have the name and contact information for the owner. I am trying to track down the original owner of my 1965, and I think one of the owners was in the Corvette Club of MI at that time? Thanks.

Yep, he loved auto crossing. Also was a member of the Corvette Club of Michigan. I was hoping to get that plate from him, but it was long gone. If you look closely, you can see the Bill Thomas Race Cars decals in the rear window. Those are still on the car today.

I'll see what I can do. He's deaf and so communicating with him is hard. He can text, but at 84, his response time is spotty. The only way I got this deal done was because I had a friend that was close by and did all the leg work for me. He was in Michigan and I'm in California. I will let you know.

Richard, I think what you're seeing is the Conoco logo on the pump. This was back when there were different pumps depending on the type of gas you wanted, for Conoco, the red pump was premium, or ethyl (yes, we've heard all the "Who's pumping ethyl?" one liners), the other pump for regular.
