                            Well Don, the hair was period correct. Who would have thought many of us would keep these cars this long. It just never gets old, even if we do.

                                            This is where my first Corvette restoration started. My dad in 1978 with a 75ish car that he had purchased at the Madison Wisconsin Auto Auction. It had been rolled hard and slid on the top. I do not have finished pictures, I remember my mother saying why would you buy that? He was so proud of the car,

                                                From the local FD photo album. Looks like it was being flat towed and got away? It was a tricky little on ramp there.

                                                        The note on the back of one photo has the year of the car as 1961. The car appears as a '62 and just might be a a fuelie. So if the accident happened in October of 1962 the car couldn't have been very old.
