Re: Not just another C2 Love Affair....
Sadly I sold the car in 1986 and these are the best pics I have. It also had pinstriping on the fenders. The car was totaled within a year of selling it and I only found out when I called the person in the ad for the info on a wrecked LT-1. He went off the road backwards into a tree and bent the frame. I had nowhere to try and resurrect it so it was parted out.- Top

Re: Not just another C2 Love Affair....
I swiped this from a Hemmings memo sent 1/4/2021.

It's a 1958 Corvette ad. Some of their non-Corvette ads are interesting as well.

Re: Not just another C2 Love Affair....
Is 1984 too soon to be considered nostalgic? It has been 37 years. Anyway, saw "Against All Odds" on TV the other day. It came out the Spring of 1984 and given the gap between when a movie is finished shooting and released, if this isn't the first time a C4 graced the silver screen, it has to be one of the earliest.

Re: POST OLD PICTURES of CORVETTES HERE - NOSTALGIA
I found this ad in a newspaper in the attic of my new (to me) house that was built in 1955. It is from the Washington Daily News, dated December 23 1964. I guess they were hoping for some last minute Christmas shoppers. Although not Corvette related, I also found this vintage gas mask, skateboard and radio. It appears that this stuff was in the attic for a long time. The previous owners lived in the house many years, and might have been the original owners.- Top

Re: POST OLD PICTURES of CORVETTES HERE - NOSTALGIA
October 1973, not a KIA or Hyundai in sight, "The Price Is Right" giving away real cars. That's the lovely and talented Miss Anitra Ford next to the Corvette. She would appear in such Hollywood classics as, "Invasion Of the Bee Girls", "Messiah Of Evil", and "The Big Bird Cage". The contestant did not win the car and, according to Bob Barker, the actual price was $6243.
