Ha yes I was dumb back then. I was 19 and traded it in on a 77 blazer. At first I didn't miss it but as I got older I learned that most people only own one corvette in their life. Wish I still had it.

I still have the girl. Yes the corvette would have been less expensive but like I said I was only 19.

      '67 Owners -- Cover Your Eyes !!

I spotted this wrecked '67 Coupe in a parking lot about a half a mile from Jack Douglass Chevrolet in Hinsdale Illinois. I took the picture in the summer of 1978. I am not seeing a tank sticker.

By now it's a Gold, Top Flight, Duntov and maybe a survivor 67 Corvette!

Trying hard to imagine what happened to that poor car. The rear deck, rear window, rear valance & bumpers all are mostly intact...gas tank still has its shape...the front hood looks pretty good...the door is in decent shape??? Kinda just split at the seams and folded up somehow? Lots of good parts remaining. Where/how was this car hit I wonder or if it was just split up for parts salvage due to other reasons (bad frame/engine/etc)? Interesting to me for some reason.

Re: POST OLD PICTURES of CORVETTES HERE - NOSTALGIA

This pic got me remembering in '62 I began collecting sales brochures, color chips and Corvette parts from my local Chevy dealer and then realized the little one in the pic is now 60+ years old! Time, where has it gone???

Anyone know where and when the picture of the 63 at the A&W was taken? Looks like my 63 in it's original Tuxedo Black.

^ According to Pinterest, the location is Lawton, Oklahoma: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/vintag...6518888165359/

Judging by the guys haircut, probably taken in 1963 (pre-Beatles). I looked up the address and it's a Carl's Jr. now.

Thanks. Don't think my car spent any time in Oklahoma.

Re: POST OLD PICTURES of CORVETTES HERE - NOSTALGIA

Here are some vintage race car photos from the most beautiful track in the Country, Road America.

The orange '64 (has '65 vents) was a car I bought about 20 years ago. It races at Laguna Seca to this day.

The first picture includes what I believe is the Tony DeLorenzo L88 next to my old car coming off turn 14 to start the race at RA, probably in 1967. The second picture is my Dave Rex car going into turn 5 next to CSX 2350. Dave Rex moved to a C3 in the early 70's but said it never ran as well as his orange mid-year.

If anyone has any additional comments, please let me know.

More, please!! Was your car running a big block, or small block? Details, please.
