Re: Texas Regional meet in Frisco, TX....
Superb event, as usual, every year.
The registered cars aligned on the ground floor of the parking garage were primarily for PV's and Sporsman as overflow from the "Full-up" Judging Floor.
I don't want to invade anyone's privacy, so, I will just say that the '65's in Carl Nicholl's post #12 were an Original Owner Blue Coupe that earned an high level Top Flight and the two Silver cars breezed through their PV's as did a yellow car.
If you weren't there you missed a good one, oh, well, HaND anyway!- Top

Thanks for explaining the activity regarding Corvettes in the parking lot, Mike. I went out there to admire the cars, but thought the activity was just about discussing and admiring the cars.
I had hoped to meet both you and Nick C, saluting you both for your input into the TDB discussions. Thumbs-up to both of you!
The only slight disappointment I had in the regional meet, is the pace of judging was so busy, I wasn't able to meet several regulars contributors in person. Seeing those great cars certainly partially made up for my loss.
And, Chris. It was great getting to finally meet you in person. I enjoyed your frequent early posts sharing information about your gorgeous red '67 so much. Nice to put a face with a person. And congrats on that important milestone of PV!
I only had the one day of Friday, but was so impressed by the chapter's work and superb quality of the meet, .......will be booking two nights next year.

Re: Texas Regional meet in Frisco, TX....
What a great event, there were three cars there from Austin that had never been judged before and all did well. David worked very hard on that pretty white/red no radio '67 big block and it all paid off with a great score.
I really enjoyed visiting with Chris and his father about their early '67, also.- Top

Re: Texas Regional meet in Frisco, TX....
Could anyone tell me who the judging chairman was for this regional?
I thought I had seen the person holding this job, as saw a minor judging difference of opinion ran by the person. A matter on a stunning, superb C2 coupe.
Has to be a time-consuming position to hold....Good carburetion is fuelish hot air . . .- Top

Re: Texas Regional meet in Frisco, TX....
Thanks guys, this award means a lot to me. It is a stepping stone towards the most coveted award in Corvette judging. The "red license plate" award, otherwise known as the Duntov Mark of Excellence. They way I figure it, my car is red....I should try and get a red license plate for it too.Chris Enstrom

Re: Texas Regional meet in Frisco, TX....
Wow, such high praise, thanks Nick. I was very happy to help at the meet. Seeing both sides of the judging process helps a great deal, even at the Chapter level.
To all, I posted a thread on the Corvetteforum with some more pictures. it can be found here. Scroll down a ways to see my very first car ride (post #20).

Re: Texas Regional meet in Frisco, TX....
I would echo all of the posts about the Texas regional and add that this was the first time I have had my car judged (Fawn Beige 1961). The judges were not only impressive but were extremely patient in answering my many questions - some of which had to be pretty silly.
I learned more about my car in two days than I have in the previous 12 years of ownership. I had no expectations and was thrilled to recieve my second flight award. I will be in attendance next year as well.- Top
