Scott, That photographer was Vinnie Peters, Editor of The Corvette Restorer. Vinnie's skill and equipment make the magazine what it is.

To fill in everyone Scott and Brady Como brought examples of C3 AC manifolds and hoses that were originally installed on Mark IV and Small block Corvettes. We had a brief (well almost) tech session about these items during the Advanced Judging Seminar. My camera failed and I had to depend on Vinnie to take pictures of these for the coming revision to the 1970-72 TIM&JG.

It was this discussion board that allowed us all to find out these two guys had these original parts, and we set up this "tech session" through this board. This is the kind of dedication members have to help each other. Thanks guys for thinking enough of others to bring these parts to the event, and then to drag them in from the parking lot.

Brady Como's Top Flight 1970 Corvette Bronze car is in the second photo posted by Carl Nicholl. Congratulations Brady.

Those photos Vinnie took of the AC hoses, crimps, caps, etc were crisp in detail including the close-ups. I am looking forward to seeing the photos of the event, the Corvettes, and crowds. My old camera was flagging, too. Not Vinnie quality by any stretch.

Re: Texas Regional meet in Frisco, TX....

Just returned from the meet. Had a great time there. Thanks to Tim Ehlers, Dr. Dave King, and all the rest of the TX Chapter for putting on a great meet.

Here's two shots of Don Hein just starting his Performance Verification on his beautiful 65 Silver/Black 425 hp coupe in the parking lot with 65 National Judging Team Leader Mike Murray watching the tach at high idle. (the car passed)

then, Dave Ewan's 57 Airbox fuelie, arriving on the Show Room on Thursday for the first meet the car has ever been to. Mr. Ewan said he bought the car at a San Antonio junk yard in the early 70s. He did not know what an Airbox fuelie was when he bought it. He was just scooping up all the 57 vettes he could find. He said he has owned over 20 of them. The music this car made driving in and out of the Show room was awesome!

Billy Hibbs brought out a freshly restored real 63 Z06 white/red. Had a radio but no heater. Of course it has brakes and 36gal tank. Sweet! The original owner was also at the meet and drove it off the Show floor on Saturday afternoon and back to the trailer. The car spent its early years in Hawaii. No need for any heater there...

This was my first time attending & entering a car for flight judging/Bowtie signoff. It was a first class event and I got to put faces with names from the NCRS & CF forums. The judges were absolutely great and very helpful in explaining any point deductions. I went in with no great expectations on the judging process and came away with a lot of great info, made many new friends, and an unexpected Second Flight award. Hats off to everyone involved!!!

I forgot to mention the steaks, wonderful! Judges lunches were outstanding, no Subway sandwiches . Dave (Shrinkwrap) Ewan promised the steaks would be better next year Did I mention the steaks were the absolute BEST that I have eaten at a Regional or National Awards Banquet? Second to none.

Did I mention the food was good??

'and how about that chocolate cake! I am still buzzed from that. I was on the judging floor Fri and in Terry's classes Sat and had a great time and learned alot. By the way, if anyone finds my wife tell her I am home now.

All did a great job in all areas! An excellent event with excellent organizers and participants! Thanks to everyone!

Thanks to everyone who attended, brought a car, helped judge, etc. That makes the event fun for everyone. Will be next year on Oct. 19-20, 2012 at same place. Largest regional we have hosted. Article from Dallas Morning News on Friday helped with public attendance.

Ridge, it was nice to meet you finally! Yes, the Texas meet was awesome. Passing PV is a pretty good deal too. My little red car did great, even in the rain!
