Gary -- here's some info on Charlie Steuart's glen green L78 coupe with saddle vinyl interior. It's VIN 23512, L30 trim tag date. This info comes from a re-read of the spring issue of the NCRS Restorer Also, he displayed it at the Mystic Conn. Corvette regional meet, which I attended, and he wrote me that it had a 3.36 ratio differential, ratio, comfort & convenience group and gold line tires.

Charlie also had a 396 coupe, VIN 15,822, and a small block convertible. Colours and options unknown, unless someone can contact his (brother) in New York.

Gary: No rest for the ____ (or however that saying goes). Here's what I have on L78 23556. Convertible, Glen green on green vinyl, PW, L30, St. Louis body S-7752, or only 2 cars before my S-7755, on 23564. Got this from a mini-survey I did around 1995. of the "last" '65's, based on VIN. I have 23561 and 23563, but they're not L78's.

On the C2 registry someone has added 01441 as an L78.

Gary -- here's 3 more that I owe the survey; 21570, 22301, and a new one (unless it's already on the survey and I missed it, 15666).

21570: Maroon coupe, black vinyl, St.Louis body S3376, T0623IF, FB62365 (4.11's)

15666: Protect-O-Plate only (sold for 785 USD on eBay, Jan '04), convertible) M20 (P0413) 431 Glen green on green leather, T0421 IF (I'll check this), FA0412.

22301: coupe, L15 S3894 435AA (maroon vinyl); MSO indicating L78 and original state title.

I currently own a 65 396 Coupe A.O Smith Body Nassau Blue with Blue interior
i have owned for 10 years now.
i live in a suburb just outside the city of Toronto, Canada.
Ncrs Top Flight and Bloomington Gold.
it has a NOM motor but the motor in the car is an original 65 396 IF Corvette motor.
i found the bare block with original broaching and stampings 6 years ago and rebuilt it to factory specs with GM pushrods crank heads etc.
original tranny and rear end in the car. the car scored 98.3 at a regional event 5 years ago has all the correct components right down to the original dipstick and washer bag. i have been an ncrs member for 10 years as part of the Ontario Chapter. i also have another buddy of mine here at home with a 396. i would love to be part of the registry as i have a passion for 65 396 Vettes. The car was shipped to AD Anderson in Baltimore Maryland July 1965.
