Re: Mice
-------and, the pink tastes much better than the old green stuff. More like cotton candy than vegetables. I am unsure how it would taste in the pot pies, though. After this I may become a vegan.
I also use the outside bait box and it works well. Inside I use moth balls. I will try the dryer sheets. I have purchased 2 of the sound generating boxes over the past three decades and they have never worked for me. I even found droppings on top of one of them. While living near Atlanta years ago we had a walkout basement I used to store three cars. I found a couple of small entry openings and used wire screen and spray foam insulation that worked very well in sealing. My neighbors two yellow cats, the Butter Brothers, helped me out last week with a mouse trying to break and enter.- Top

Re: Mice
Hello;
A friend owns an Auto Trim Shop (interior repairs).
Each spring he will get many rodent repair jobs and I will do many wiring repairs due to mice and other rodents.
We often remark to each other "rodents eat dryer sheets but don't come around moth balls".
We use them at building door openings and around tires and any other place mice can climb into the vehicle or boat. They can't jump very far.
The traps work, but poison presents the problem Mike McCagh referred to "not being able to find the carcass and the stench".

Re: Mice
I have not had any dryer sheets eaten, as for the moth balls I am not sure that is a smell that I can stand for very long, it takes some time and a lot fo fresh air to get rid of but I guess the its better than dead mice. I have not seen any evidence of mice since using the dryer sheets, music etc, they may not like oldies.

Re: Mice
Hello Phil;
Believe moth balls are just crystalized naphtha. Just need to ventilate the area to clear the smell.
I always wonder how the price stays so low on Moth balls when you consider the reaping that must be involved and how many moths it takes to fill a box.

Re: Mice
I had chuckle last spring when I started up my sportbike (Kawaski ZX11) after the winter. I turned around and the whole driveway was covered with mouse nest. Turns out they had built nests in both mufflers.
I vote for the good old fashioned spring traps.1969 Riverside Gold Coupe, L71, 14,000 miles. Top Flight, 2 Star Bowtie.- Top

Re: Mice
I have used dryer sheets and traps with success, haven't used the radio idea. Living in the Northeast where you get fluctuating warm/cold temperatures, I found that a Car Capsule with a low voltage fan that moves the air keeps any moisture condensing on the car and also takes care of keeping the mice at bay.- Top
