Most people seem to laugh at the idea, but has worked for me in my detached garage.
I can't resist (as Terry said it's a boring Sunday afternoon), what station do you have it turned to? AM talk radio? FM oldies? Maybe the 24/7 news station? Or some Sirius channel like the '60s or '70s or Acid RocK?

But seriously, this device did work in our mountain cabin to keep the little buggers out:

        Re: Mice

My cat stayed in the garage at night, do not know if he caught any mice, never did find any evidence from a meal if he did. He did eat the voles he caught outside. He did not care about catching moles. I dug one up alive and not injured and put it right in front of him one day. He just observed it trying to get away.
Noticed the rubber seal chewed up at one corner of the garage and caught a mouse with a trap about 20 years ago. Replaced the damaged seal.
Anyway, before the cat and after the cat, I have placed small containers of moth balls at each corner of the large single garage door after the one mouse incident.
Do not smell the moth balls in the garage unless I pick up the container to freshen the supply.

Good idea. That's how I got rid of the raccoons in the underfloor area of my house.

Put a radio in there, and tuned it to a Country Western station No more raccoons.
          Should work with mice too.

mike the pink RV anti freeze is not poison as it is to be put into the water lines in RVs, but it still drowns them. you could use corn liquor and the mice would die happy.

OP asked about C3 mice. No one has responded about them specifically. I'm disappointed in you guys! I love a good technical discussion!!

I don't know, I think mice are more cosmopolitan and "East Coasty" sophisticated, so classical may be the ticket

You are correct, we are forgetting our pigeon-holes here. It seems to me the C3 mice, unlike C2 mice, would be much cheaper to get rid of, but might not be as prized and respected when it comes to resale value.......

                    C3 mice typically prefer disco.

Those would be rubber bumper mice, Nick. Early C3 would prefer Janice or Jimmy, however, keep in mind we are not trying to attract them, but rather repel them. Seems to me either country, western or classic would work on any C3 mouse.

I stand corrected... was there ever a Purple Haze C3 ? This one looks sort of blue...

Dryer sheets will keep mice out of your car... We have an RV which is stored outside all winter and each fall I put dryer sheets in all those little places where mice may infiltrate.. no bad smell and they work... buy the cheap ones, work as well as the brand name stuff...

Hell, Clem, don't waste the precious corn squeezin's, if you use liquor, use that store bought stuff.

These little buggers filled the rear trailing arms of my daughters 91 Sunbird Convertible with nesting material and Hickory nuts and chewed the VSS wiring. At least their condo is going to the south after the New Year.
