To those who responded to the K-19. I went thur the 1967 C-2 registry today, all 548 of them. There were 20 1967 Corvettes that had K-19 listed on their cars. I will try and do 1966 tomorrow or finish by Monday. Thanks to all. If you wish to know how many with each engine email me. I have them by horse power. Dale

Dale -- here's a weird-o; a loaded CANADIAN '67 BB coupe with K19 !! Some tree-hugger had $$$ to waste 'cause smog laws weren't even on the horizon up here.

From GM Canada records:
VIN 194377S106008: Black/blk leather, A01AB, A82AA, A85AA, C60BH, G81-- (unreadable ratio code), K19GB, K66AE, L36AA, L68AA, M21AA, N14AB, N36AA, P92AA, U69FF, V48--(Engine coolant; increased protection).

I also own a 66 427/390hp California car with the A.I.R. Smog option. Build date of April 18th. Not a fun system to find parts for, that is for sure. My original carb was missing and i was lucky to find a correct carburetor, although the date is one month past my build date. They do not come up for sale very often. Sad part is the original owner probably chunked in the junk pile.

While the AIR systems often were stripped off of cars and junked, the carbs usually did not go with them. They usually remained on the car with any AIR-utilized ports plugged. Of course, someone may have changed a carburetor later for some reason or another but that had nothing to do with removal of the AIR system.

I have a 1966 roadster, delivered new to Charles Shonlaw Chevrolet, Hollywood, CA. I purchased out of many years stored in the Hollywood Hills.
Satin Silver with blk interior, white top. PS, PB, PW, powerglide. 327/300. 3.36.
Car is unrestored, original bushings, ball joints, drivetrain, paint interior, etc. Tires, belts and hoses replaced. Silver paint is almost gone from years in the desert. The car has been in Indiana since late 2008.
Drove (4 hours) to 2009 Bloominton Gold and got Survivor in all 4 catagories. All K19 equipment is still intact.
Would add pictures if I knew how!!

I have a 67 Coupe that i bought in San Diego Ca in 1973. It is a L-79 with 4 speed. I removed all K-19 equiptment and amazingly did not throw it out! Currently have 92K original miles.

I finished 1966 C-2 Registry today. There are 484 1966 C-2's Corvettes registered. 18 of the 1966's have K-19 Smog systems. In 1966 there were 9- 300 HP, 4- 350HP, 5- 390 HP and O- 425HP ( If my eyes were not crossed to much). There were a total of 18 300HP, 7 350HP, 7 390HP, 2 400HP, amd 4 435HP, for a total of 38 Corvettes with K-19(in 66 and 67). I have early October 66 390hp K-19 Sunfire Yellow Coupe sold at Felix Chevy in LA. (Still looking for correct date 3606 Holley)

Dale , now if you could figure our how many '66 & "67 BB that had K-19 and A/C would be nice. I bet there would just be a few, talk about being rare. Even a small block with A/C and K-19 would be rare. The K-19 package is rare enough for '66 &'67.
