As I recall, Nolan Adams C2 resto book tallies the number of L36/K19/C60/N40 combo cars at 23 units.

I own the '66 in pics above (engine bay shots). It's an early March build Ermine White over Green Vinyl coupe optioned with:
    L36
    C60
    K19
    PS
    PW
    Headrests
    Tele wheel
    M20
    3.36:1 posi
    Tinted glass
    Hazard flasher
    AM/FM

The car was Delivered to Clippinger Chevy in Covina CA, with the above plus steel wheels/caps and standard steering wheel. I've since added a freeman teak wheel, KO's and NOS N11.

Now that there are pictures of the "66 & '67 BB you can clearly see that there are a difference in where the diverter valve mounts. The '66 mounts to a clamp which fastens to a stud underneath the air cleaner base. The '67 diverter valve mounts to the right rear of the valve cover with a clamp.

The new '66 judging manual has this wrong. It has it mounting like a '67 which the pictures shows it clearly different for a '66.

I have submitted the changes but it did not get change, maybe next time.

                  Re: 1966 & 1967 K-19 Corvette owners

Gary J. This is what you requested on 1966 and 1967 K-19 with A/C. First I got a private email requesting that I remove their Vin from my list. I am not saving Vins or names only equipment. My results are not real good as per your request Gary as some of the threads here are not in the C-2 Registry. Here is what I got. (again this is only from the C-2 Registry) 1966, 5 300HP with K-19 and A/C, 1 350HP, 5 390HP total 9 Corvettes. This amazes me. 1967's from the C-2 Registry 2 300HP with K-19 and A/C and 1 350HP with the same. Nothing else in the Registry. Double checked. Some Corvettes in the Registry do not have any equipment listed. If you have a Corvette that that is not in the registry you can add yours to the figures that I found. I did find that 2 of the 1967 435HP that l found were K-66 not k-19 so the number of 1967 435 HP. K-19 are two not 4. This should end my couriousity. Dale

                      Re: 1966 & 1967 K-19 Corvette owners

This is my final posting on the 1966 & 67 K-19 cars. From information given me, of the almost 50,000 Corvettes built in 1966 and 1967, 2,380 1966 K-19's. 2,573 1967 K-19's. 18 1966 K-19 in the registry. 18 1967 K-19 in the registry. 9 1966 K-19 and A/C(C-60) and 3 1967 K-19 and A/C(C-60). This does not represent the total exsisting K-19" and A/C"s as some who responded to my thread or email did not want their cars on my listed or in the C-2 registry. I have 20 K-19 cars on my list, some in the C-2 registry and some not. Any comments or correction will be appreciated. Been fun, Dale

Dale, I am brand new to all of this. I just acquired a 66 Mosport Green K19 327/300hp car with a final assembly date of July 5th. It was delivered and sold at Ventura Motor Co sometime therafter. Many of the smog parts are original and Im having a great time piecing it back together. Any help is much appreciated!

I was a previous responder to this thread but my Curiosity was piqued by your mention of Ventura Motor Company. I have worked in Ventura, California and lived in Ventura County, California for over forty years and I have never heard of it. Crawford Chevrolet was in Ventura for many years before they were bought out by Paradise Chevrolet. Is this a different Ventura? I was born and raised in Iowa and there is a Ventura, Iowa but it is very small and I doubt that they had a dealership.

Thank you Dale! John, it is interesting isn't it? The "Ventura Motor Co" in "Ventura, CA" is right off the NCRS Shipping Report. I couldn't find it either when I googled it. Definitely a matching number HH/matching VIN engine stamp. Still has original A.I.R. air cleaner base and correct 66-only A.I.R.(dates and numbers) exhaust manifolds. I've got registrations back to the 70's owner (to present) in Sacramento with the same vin and black plate license number on the registrations throughout the years. Interesting stuff!
