I ended up with a great situation my Dad sold his 66 SS396 Chevelle and bought a C6 but it was not an easy choice for him, he was worried about missing an old car, so the two of us cut a deal, if wants to drive an old car he can take my 69 Camaro when ever he wants and like wise for me with his C6. I have always wanted a mid year and on several occasions have put my Camaro up for sale to buy one but at the last min I just dont have the heart to sell it. I started saving for that car when I was 12 years old, bought it when I was 15 and spent 5 years wrenching in the garage with Dad before I drove it. I'm now almost 32 years old and I still love that old Camaro even though its a pain in my a#$. Think I will just save my pennies like when I was kid and hope the Camaro can make friends with a mid year before I turn 40

1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda with shaker hood well optioned and maybe a convertable. It would be tough to sell the Vett but the Cuda would tempt me?

I got talking to a guy some time back and he was driving a magnificent metallic blue 54 -55 Corvette. It was a real amazing colour with a rich cream interior. He tells me spent like 18 years restoring it. Now this is the hard part he is selling it to buy a C6 ? I asked why and he tells me for something different. After 18 years of knuckle busting and searching for parts he is just letting it go for a new car. I thought this was strange would you sell your pride and joy for another car and what model car would you sell it for.
I don't think I could sell mine now I have the hard yards on it. It kind of feels like it's mine. Stewy

For me, I'd trade either of my cars ('67 L79 Coupe; '68 base motor automatic, air, two tops, etc.) for a 1957 Desoto Adventurer or a '53-'54 "Twin-H" power Hudson Club Coupe in the same condition. Any Takers?

I went to an antique auto show, several years ago. I saw a 54 Packard Caribbean convertible--Wow, what a car! It was the Duesenburg of the 50's.

See some pics of a 56. I think the 54 was better, leather thicker than a Cowboy's face and chrome and details that showed the world what cars America could build.

Francis the hard yards ! Sitting on the phone at 3in the morning ringing 10,000 miles away looking for radio parts for the wonderbar or scouring Craig's list for a set 692 matching heads. So forth and so forth !! The hard yards ! Then selling it to some punk in Australia who wouldn't know the front from the back of a 1960 Corvette. No way I couldn't do it Stewy

Thanks, Ridge, I'm going to take a look at it. I'm really an eclectic guy, and I 'd rather have one of each of my favorites, rather than two similar. Early hemis just turn me on!

When I bought my 71 LS5 back in 2004, it was a tired driver. I rebuilt the entire drivetrain and suspension and it now runs and drives like new. Next step was to take care of the driver paint. (I did the mechanicals in sections so I could drive it as much as possible) Knowing my self the way I do , I knew that nothing short of pulling the body and doing a frame off resto would be make me content but I couldn't justify spending the money to go that far so I decided it was time to sell and look for another project. Well I really like the looks of the C6's and enjoy going for nice long rides so I decided to sell the 71 and buy a C6. To make a long story longer, I never really got around to advertising the 71 before I bought the C6. Now that I have both, the urge to sell has gone away. I would sell the 71 if I could swing a big block 66 or 67 coupe though.
