What other car would you sell your car for

I got talking to a guy some time back and he was driving a magnificent metallic blue 54 -55 Corvette. It was a real amazing colour with a rich cream interior. He tells me spent like 18 years restoring it. Now this is the hard part he is selling it to buy a C6 ? I asked why and he tells me for something different. After 18 years of knuckle busting and searching for parts he is just letting it go for a new car. I thought this was strange would you sell your pride and joy for another car and what model car would you sell it for.
I don't think I could sell mine now I have the hard yards on it. It kind of feels like it's mine. Stewy

Other than another 62 vette I always liked the 32 Ford Model B with a flathead V-8. Used to draw a profile of one while daydreaming in high school homeroom. You can't find stock 32's anymore.

Hi Stewy,
Since I'm the original owner of my 71 I really don't think I could let it go for anything. I guess I would feel like I had been unfaithful.
If I could have ANOTHER, it would probably be a 65 F.I. Convertible.

I spent 7 years restoring a 65 396 car and sold it a year after completion. for some reason i just could not stand the car.i think it was because i knew every little thing that was wrong with it. i ended up paying off my house and bought my wife a 93 as well.

I've had my 1960 for almost 35 years (more than half my life). The only reason I still have it is because I've always had at least one other Corvette to play with. I enjoy working on them but when they're finished, I get the urge to move on. I'm sure I will part with the 60 some day. It will be sad day but certainly not the end of the world. After all, it's only a car. There are other things in life that are much more important.
To answer the original question, I've always wanted a Ford GT.

I have felt that unsatisfied feeling of incorrectness after a restore is completed. With me it is usually short lived and I go about fixing all the items that bother me. Once I have the car my way then it is truly a part of the family. I frequently want to sell one of my vettes but it always seems to be for a different vintage. I love rods but space is limited and I cannot bear the thought of giving up one of my babies for anything other than another corvette. I truly have a sickness.

Got a VIN for the old 74, I'd sure run an Ohio search on it to see if it may live in Ohio. It's worth a shot !!

This may send shivers down the back of Vette guys, but I dreamed of owning a 79 Trans Am since high school. Matter of fact when I bought my first Vette in 87, I was realy looking for a 79 Trans Am, but got discouraged at the rusted examples I saw all too often. Besides how gorgeous my 81 red/red was ,I was really happy I didn't have to deal with rust in my future. My first car was a 76 Grand Prix and by 1987 rust was chipping away at the lower extremities, keeping ahead of it was a chore I didn't enjoy! Also a 69 GTO would be a candidate as well!

I'm fairly certain the car is in the next county over. She's been repainted (which she needed). I've seen her out and about a couple of times, but haven't had the opportunity to check the VIN.

A fairly nicely restored (periodic driver) 1969 BOSS 429.

I would truely have to sell something to make room for it - with four cars in a two car garage - there is truely no more room. The two daily drivers are outside.
