I haven't seen this years contract but nothing like that has been part of the contract before. In fact, I know a couple that sold cars there this year and they never mentioned any changes and they were prepared to buy back if necessary. Why would BJ care what you did? They get the same commision regardless. I'd have to call B.S. on this story.

P.S. Just looked at the Palm Beach contract and there is nothing of the sort mentioned there either.

this Is Not The First Time Prices Have Fallen In The Car Hobby/business. Some Time The Prices Just Get Out Of Hand On Even Common Cars. Just Look At What Clones Have Been Going For. The Prices For Horses At Keenland Ky. Took A Dive Two Weeks Ago, And Those Are Bought In Hopes Of Making A Good Return On Investment. At Least A Car Will Not Cost Me Any More Just Sitting In My Garage.

Really surprised to see the 69 435's go so cheap. The gold one was to be a GM dealer coustesy car with lots of documentation and still only sold for 60k.

Sorry Jim, I have to disagree with you. There were only a few B-J cars that went across the block, and the only reason they own them is that bidders didn't pay for them last auction. There is no extra effort put on these, I've witness it first hand. If anything they are treated like redheaded step children. They are just run through again and whatever they bring is deducted from the original selling price and they go after the first bidder for the difference.

If it is a Craig Jackson car it is always announced that he owns it, just like his ZL-1 Pace car was announced in Vegas. That car sold for less than half of what he wanted for it, so no collusion there!
There were a number of NCRS members that sold cars last weekend there that were very happy, and like anything a few that weren't, but they did sell them. That's the thing to remember, if you want to unload it you will.

Provenance of car #27 is WELL known. Only part of entire car that is original is trim tag. Most consider real car long gone. I'm glad you didn't buy it.
                Regards, Harold

I must agree, poor choice of words.
Hope you get the ZL1, and when you do, you should cut that L88 go . I would have liked to have your blue L88 and your red one looks even better!

Jamie, someone just informed me that they had seen you working at the Barrett-Jackson auction.
Are you an employee, or part of that army of unpaid "volunteer" workers? Just curious, and hoped you woudl shed some light on that. Ridge

All that VIN tag means is it was for a '69 Camaro, nothing more. Thee Camaro that used to wear that vin tag had some very special options ordered on it, and that car is no longer!

Did you ever think about being buried in one of your Vettes? After all, if by then they have little resale value, might as well take them with you. The Chinese symbolically send cars and houses with their dead, as well as money and food, so why not. I'm considering it.

                            Stu,
I'm not big on funeral glitz myself. I have often threatened to use my '69 as my coffin. However, my son stated that he wouldn't pay a plugged nickle to exume me, but he'd pay whatever it took to get the Corvette back.
