If you want to use the original factory rust proof compound. The factory spec. reads as follows:
Spray or dip with Lucas rustproof #635 compound for rust prevention (mix 7 parts of water with 1 part rustproof compound)

I can't find that Lucas #635 exists any longer.

                Gary,

That’s why I recommended the CRC400. Darker and thicker than the 350, I think it’s very close to the original substance.

Which parts had this type of coating? Only the coil springs?

I contacted Lucas and that is no longer one of their products.

Anyone heard of anything that produces similar results but with a spray-on?

Thanks Gary. Yep, I have some spray 350 but it is not as effective as the evaporust. Curious if there is another option other than 350.
