Our first Corvette in Medina, NY. That's the daughter of a friend "on the bonnet with a bonnet".

In the background, you can see the corner of what was (back then) a factory owned by the Fisher Price Toy Company. It is still in use, but for food products.

The 8600 to 9000 block of W. Washington Blvd, Culver City was mecca for used corvette dealers in the mid 60s. Big John, Stick City, Shelee, and Sports Arena Motors were all right there. All peddling used vettes. All advertised in the LA Times Classifieds. Here is part of a page of the corvette listings for one day in June 1965

Feb 16, 2016-Ionia, Mi--The Young Automotive Family of Lansing has purchased Berger Motor Sales of Ionia.The dealership's name has changed to Young Chevrolet, Buick, GMC of Ionia. Located at 3669 S. State Road, the dealership was owned by Ned Berger, who opened the business in downtown Ionia in 1938 and merged with John Decker Motor Sales in 2005.
The sale does not affect Berger Chevrolet, the Grand Rapids dealership started by Ned Berger's brother, Dale Berger, in 1938. A third brother, Bill Berger, started a Chevrolet-Cadillac dealership that year in Greenville, Ind.

The brothers were sons of W.H. (Bill) Berger, who opened the family's first Chevrolet dealership on Wealthy Street SE in Grand Rapids.

The Fall 1974 picture of the St. Louis meet shows the front end of my '62. It was the only one with Rally Wheels with the wheel painted body color. Pretty sharp looking wheel if I do say so myself. That is a much younger me in the yellow shirt. The '62 in the middle was stolen at the awards banquet at a local restaurant. The thief didn't get too far as he blew out the rear end. Fortunately the car belonging to Mike Morem was recovered.

I still own the '62 but it does have correct hubcaps and 1" whitewalls now.
