The 60 biscayne in the back ground must be a 327. Is the two tone paint split line correct? Or was it even available in two tone paint?

Re: POST OLD PICTURES of CORVETTES HERE - NOSTALGIA

Speaking of old PEL dragway, Louisiana, here's a yellow 396 that I thought might have been my # 23564, but turned out to be # 21841, sold new by Red River Chev, in Bossier City LA. Gene Alleman drove it at the 1967 Indy Nationals, was fastest but disqualified because post-tech nailed him for having no spare tire carrier, even though he passed pre-tech. (look on the C/S line near the bottom of the list) -- any names look familiar ? .

Looks a bit like Bowling Green, KY drag strip. Home of the Corvette Homecoming for many years. Maybe?

Re: POST OLD PICTURES of CORVETTES HERE - NOSTALGIA

Here's an old photo that was posted on Facebook, probably in April of this year. A good friend Peter emailed it to me as I don't follow that social medium. There's a slim chance it might be the yellow 396 I have now, and have owned since 1988. So I'm hoping someone can identify the woman and/or the car, and thereby maybe allow me to find the early owner(s) prior to spring 1968. Mine also has no side exhaust, a white soft top but no KO's,(per 1968 photos). I am looking for the first owner(s) sometime between delivery to dealer Early Chevrolet in Ruston Louisiana (say) mid August '65 to first appearance in spring 1968 on a dealer's lot in Shrevport LA. Spent entire life in East Texas or West Louisiana. I notice a crude oil jack pump and tank in the background. Also, what seems to be a service station sign with gasoline at 27.9 cents/gal. Internet search on era licence plates with a cream background and red lettering indicates Louisiana is possible.

Here's a shot of the cars at Cypress Gardens NCRS meet (winter 1990 IIRC). What's that C2 with the rally rims and the bare hardtop doing there ?

Thanks Jim, remember Big Bear Lake well, had breakfast with Noland, great food and meeting areas, rain was a test for our wipers, those one page Judging sheets were tough to get through? Regards,

Anybody ever see one of these GM surveys for a 1965 Corvette ? It's 10 pages long, and in this particular case was sent to the buyer of a '65 fuelie tanker. The navy pilot didn't think much of the car, as evidenced by his poor ratings on the questions. I took pics of all the pages.
