Or the Crown Plaza is not that large?

I guess I'm happy I'm only going for a day or two. I'll plan on staying further out and driving in.

There has to be some really good B&B's to find all along the coast. We recently spent a romantic weekend in Falmouth, about an hour south and found tons of available BEAUTIFUL places to stay.

I'm wondering if there is a rainbow convention at the same time?

Kevin, yes along Newport water front there should be a few B&B'S you'll want to make plans now as the summer brings many people to the area.

That's a good plan, and what I am planning since I don't have a car in judging, just road tour and sportsman.

To the organizers: Are shuttles being planned? I searched nearby hotels on a map and there seem to be none within walking distance of the convention center.

After waiting for room at San Diego and Denver till 6 pm, I am may just do road tour and head back to TX!!!

if you are planning to stay at a B & B in Newport or Cape Cod book it early and bring your wallet. Mid July is prime tourist season in New England. I got a room at the Holiday Inn which is 1 mile away for $129 and they tell me it has a shuttle. Not the best but.........

I found a room also.

The family will be on Cape Cod that week, so I don't need more than a couple of nights in RI. I'll probably take the 08 for commuting as needed.

I got one at Hampton which provides a shuttle to the convention center. Hilton has three other properties in less than two miles.

Reba, I got one at the Holiday Inn Express which is 1.1 mile away. If there are sidewalks I am still in shape so I could walk.

Money is not all the problem, if there is terrible traffic, lack of parking, and in a generally very crowded east coast city with a huge population, being farther away is a challenge.

For the record, I just booked at the Holiday Inn Express at the listed NCRS Group rate of $129.00. Must still have rooms!
