Make Plans now for the 2016 National Convention

The National Convention will be held Saturday July 16th through Friday July 22nd, 2016, in Providence, Rhode Island.

Now is the time to begin to make plans to attend. Registration opens February 1, 2016.

We now have a nearly complete run down on the activities and schedule for the upcoming convention. You can begin to look at what is available and decide what events you would like to participate in well before you begin your registration and have to decide as you are filling in the registration pages.

Go to the Convention Pages now to make your plans. There is a section on the Road Tours as well as the Convention so get ahead of the game and start planning now.

Thanks, looking forward to it, and yes a 5000 mile round trip is going to take lots of planning.

Mike, we blocked the entire hotel except for what they committed to airline pilots and crews via a prior contract.

It will probably be like Denver, they won't release the block for booking until later.

I called and talked to the Crown a month ago, they said all rooms were sold that week, there were no available rooms being held back.

If they are all booked what is the closest motel. If this motel then this was not fair to the other members

Having been to many Nationals, and helped with a couple, I find it somewhat hard to believe it's fully booked. I would side with those who note that it's probably held until the Feb 1 date, and then will open up.

Any chance an actual organizer of the 2016 National can check on this and chime in?

Patrick, I'm the Project Manager for the National and Vin Capone is the Chairman. Somehow the name of the host hotel leaked, we have no idea how. Thus folks started booking. Additionally, many rooms are blocked for the NCRS National folks and team leaders, this is normal and customary.

Gary, the process we have chosen is this. If you call the host hotel and it is booked they will direct you the the next in line. If the next in line fills then they will direct you to the next, etc. We attempted to make it ultimate fair to everyone.

The upcoming Driveline will have a good deal of information for you.

Called the Crown Plaza today and was told the hotel is fully booked. When I questioned the reservations clerk I was told that they had been told to open it up a couple of months ago. Then called the Holiday Inn Express. They have rooms available but did not have an NCRS block rate. Best I could do there was $143.20 after a triple A discount.
