Need a Source for 1968 LH Dash Pad not Remanufactured by Corvette America

I need to purchase a '68 LH dash pad with proper fitment, i.e., not one remanufactured by Corvette America.
I've tried 2 of theirs and they simply won't fit, no matter how hard you "massage" them,
and they are very expensive to boot. I can't take the frustration anymore.

I first thought about Al Knoch, but he doesn't make them in the color that I need (dark blue).
I could also try to find a decent original and dye or reskin it.

Does anybody know any companies that remanufactures a 1968 pad that actually fits
and can be installed in a reasonable amont of time without a grinder and a blowtorch ???

    Thanks,
    Russ Trotter

Russ. have you tried looking around on Ebay, sometimes even Craigs list, if your lucky someone may be parting out a 68.

Addendum: Replacement of a 1968 LH Dash Pad ... From my experience the only currently acceptable solution is to purchase a mint original one off E-bay, dye it the color of your choice and then install.
Repros were a horrible fit around the gauges and had a 3/8-in. gap at the lower RH corner where it joins the center cluster and shifter console. The original pad cost me as much as the repro, but it installed and fit perfectly on the first attempt. Until somebody manufactures a better fitting panel, this is the only way to go. Just my 2-cents.

Russ is correct. There are no reproduction dash pads, either upper or lower that fit correctly. But there is no shortage of people that will use them making nice restorable originals fairly easy to come by.
