Re: Rust preventive Magic (RPM)
I bought a can or the RPM late in the summer of 2012. It's applied to the bare metal with a brush. If warm enough the parts can be placed in the sun or warmed with a heat gun. Tried it on several parts (front spindle, steering kunckle, half shaft). They have been hanging in the garage since last August and there is no sign of surface rust or corrision. It gets pretty humid in VA. Since it needs to be applied with a brush, it best to apply when things are disasembled. Has a slight waxy feel but seems to work.
