    Barn Find '67

This is not exactly a technical post but this original, low mile '67 has many detailed photos of value to the NCRS membership. I hope this has not been posted here before. Take a look.

Very cool, but why would such a man change the valve covers, chrome the alternator, brake fluid reservoir cap, etc? Did I miss something in the story?

I took a shot of it at Bloomington this summer. It's an amazing car for sure; the chrome and the paint seemed almost too good. All of the C3's I bought new had visible bonding seams, I could not see any in this car. Perhaps white hides those types of flaws.

Most of the linked images appear to be broken, it's too bad. I would have liked to see them. You couldn't get close enough at Bloomington to really see any detail.

Nice car but as the saying, there are no Corvette virgins. That being said, I wonder if a truly untouched/unmessaged 67 big block exists?

This car on Wyatt's web pics looks like a car restored 40 years ago!!!!!!!!!!! I did'nt know the engine pads were painted from the factory either!!!!! The engine looks painted to me!!!!!! I also see lots of non OEM bolt as well, you would think with 2900 miles the car would'nt need any hardware changed!!! I have several known unrestored 67's in my garage and all have the correct fastners and correct finishes that came from the factory!!!! The cooliest part on the car is the rear calipers with the factory paint marks!!!! Dichromate caliper mounts??? In 67??? Still a great car but have lots of questions!!!!

Lots and lots of questions including the great "story" which is nothing more than that, a "story". I think the mileage stated is complete B.S.

Cool car until you get to the $750,000 price tag. For a 390 hp?

You have 1 too many zeros in that price. Decent car at $75K but $750K? Be serious!!!!!!!!!!

Can you smell fishy??? Why so many small changes on the engine, not a hose clamp original, and it the upper hose was original, why were all the clamps were changed?

This statement sounds sort of cornball. "UNTIL FEBRUARY OF 2012, ONLY EIGHT (8) PEOPLE HAD EVER SEEN THE CAR"

I mean really how do they know that? Maybe the folks putting it together in St. Louis were blindfolded? That's why it needed new fasteners and clamps.

Dual stripe 815 tires on a 2900 mile car, with 67 air in them?

I'm no '67 expert, but other than the weirdness under the hood, it sure looks legit, and the documentation is impeccable. Obviously the original owner could have been a guy who had a phobia about certain hose clamps, and liked to do some tinkering under the hood.
What I don't get why there is no explanation about that tinkering, given everything else is discussed in minute detail. Why leave anything open to question with a car like this? Not that I should be worried about it.............

Exactly. Does nothing but raise suspicion.

I would say the only way it has 67 air in the tires is if he got some from the guy who had 67 air for sale on ebay a while back
