Re: 67 paint the way the General did it

It is neat to see cars like this 67 and really dig into the details of how they were put together. As they say, they are only original once and a car such as this 67 should be appreciated for just that. I enjoy trying to keep my C1 and C3 as close to "factory" as possible, but when I climb into my C6, I really appreciate just how far technology and GM engineering has brought us.

Keep those pictures coming, I'm saving them for a future C2 addition to the family..................... (just don't tell my wife)

It will be interesting to see if that ZR1 is still operable in 2057. Wonder how many junk yard sessions it will take to come up with all of that electronic technology to keep them going. If we still have gas, my old ones will still be going strong.

Of course I will be dead by then, but if I have my way it will be going strong and in the hands of my grandkids by then. Electronics are easy to replace compared to mechanical items. I know how strong it is, I saw it being built in BG, took delivery at the Museum, and I built the LS9 engine myself in Wixom, so I know that was done right and I bet the rear main doesn't even leak by 2057, like my L71 does.

Apparently you haven't had to buy any electronic parts for an 84 or 85 lately, or maybe a 90s ZR1.

Any pictures of the dash underside? I have been wondering if inside of firewall and inside floors are factory sprayed with red-oxide primer and left the factory that way? like other chevy cars of the day...

Beautiful Daniel...I'm in process of preparing my doors and jams now for paint. Looks like coverage is sparse and best.

                  thank you!
