Compare it to the UU8 just below and to the right (or to MD8 or NB1). Enlarge your screenshot if needed.

    It be B.

I did all of those things you mentioned before I posted. I even used a magnifying glass to further examine the enlarged image. It appears to me that both sides of both loops are ROUNDED.

In addition, I cannot find any "D8B" code applicable to a 1984 Corvette. It's possible there was such a code but I can find no record of it.

    ADDENDUM:

I did find a "D9B" code for a 1984 Corvette. It applies to a speed sensor for cars equipped with 3.07:1 axle ratio. So, if this car has a 3.07:1 axle ratio then the "D9B" code would apply. Regardless, my opinion on the last character of the code has not changed. It still appears to be an "8" to me.

Joe - I will only add this - don't you know the wife is always right?

Seriously, it does appear to be a "B" to me, but WTFDIK.

Well, if it is "D8B" I hope he never needs a speed sensor. The GM piece, GM #25007339, is discontinued and it's not available in the automotive replacement aftermarket.

Joe, to me it looks like D9B. As Patrick Hulst said, the last digit looks like a "B" to me, unlike the lower "UU8" code. If we're correct, what would D9B indicate?

A code for the speed sensor used for cars with 3.07:1 rear axle ratio.

Compare the BGR and the D9B - the "B" in both sure look the same to me
