Trying to get an appointment for an inspection. Looks like 245hp with POWERGLIDE and POWER SOFT TOP.

Rev clounter is usually about 3.7 times the mileage, if everything never broke.

        Already got an answer.

"This is the car that I mentioned to you several weeks ago. Wants 95K. It is not as nice as so described."

          Thanks Jim,
There are more stories here as this goes on typical of a car being presented for sale professionally with someones fat end markup attached to it. Not worth chasing any further at this level IMO even with someone elses money. Very interesting dialogue about the rev counter function. As usual, this is the place the get the real answer!

In all the talk here made me a believer that they are close (RPMS and miles) I was hard for this old brain to imagine. In any case it sounds like buyer beware for sure on the car, but then it is a 1957 that is stll available.
            Thanks for the information

The car is up to $65,000.00
I emailed the seller with some questions and he told me not to "knit pick" (something to do with wool) and just come and look at the car, no answers to my questions.
A poorly informed seller (apparently a "dealer") who also can't spell.

for $65,000 he better let people "knit pick" and he better be informed or be at least willing to get in touch with someone knowledgable enough to answer your questions. poor service and/or willingness to help the owner and prospective buyer.
it was in the 60s today bruce, did you get your car out?

                    Matt,

I had a bunch of Christmas stuff to do today and never got to the car.
But, I keep insurance on the 65 and will get it out on any dry day.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Sorry to be harsh but this car is a beautiful crock of BS crap as for the description of seller !!!! It was lightly restored some years ago, as it is too fresh for 50 year old paint, wrong shocks with blackout paint overspray on upper tubes, exhaust replaced, missing washer bottle, missing heator air duct clamp, shift knob replaced, foot pump cable not hooked up to wiper motor, wrong rad hose ,clamps, all hood hardware missing the blackout paint, the plate & rad cap as stated earlied in post. Although a nice looking hi end driver car, this seller does not have a clue! I hope he does not screw over some uninformed person, just my two cents

The mere fact that the total revs indicates that the odometer has flipped would be enough to prove that the mileage is being misrepresented. Hard to believe a seller could be oblivious to this. And we know it's the original tach, because NOTHING has been changed. Ignorant at best, fraudulant at worst.

Hello all, this is what was relayed back to me from seller of this auction of Corvette E57S101688 on fleebay, everdently the seller was told BS by consigner? as emailed to me in quotes; Adam:

I appreciate your input. I listed this car as the owner instructed. Frankly the information and photo requests are overwhelming and its screwing up my Christmas holiday. I will probably just pull this car off Ebay and tell the man to sell it himself.

                            Adam,
                            Good observations and input.
Probably removing the listing is the sellers way to get out of the mess he seems to have created.

Bruce, wish it was not so, as if that story would have been 100% true being a unaltered original factory delivered car, this would have been a real treasure trove of info on early solid axel cars & a boost in intrest of these mystery vettes O'well
