I agree with Adam. It must have been lightly restored at one time. If it was run for 19 years & then stored under a cover in a warehouse for 35 years I would expect a lot of corrosion on the aluminum engine pieces & chrome pitting. Very few climate controlled warehouses. Especially if it was in California for that time, it is located in LA currently. My '57 was fully restored & spotless and only 1 summer of bad humidity in Kansas really messed up the aluminum engine pieces.

The link at the beginning of this discussion got me over to ebay. I find a completed listing, but with seller comments that indicate the car would be pulled off ebay. Yet the listing includes a sold price of 89,900...
      a. I did not think ebay kept information that long. The end date was in December.
      b. Did the seller actually let this auction finish?
      c. Could I be looking at a bogus record? I have seen sign on pages that look like ebay, but were fake sites.

This sure was an interesting thread, just shows the level of knowledge here on the NCRS forum. So many of the cars on Ebay are being sold by internet used car dealers who know nothing about the car although they sure make it sound as if the the seller is there best buddie and are just helping him out by selling the car for him. I remember a couple years ago when I decided to sell my pickup, I put it on Craigs list, free is always a good, and I got a number of phone calls from internet dealers who offered their services and could sell the truck for more then I would get, all for a fee of course. I have purchased one car off off of Ebay but I was dealing with the actual owner. Most of these dealers know little about their listing as most listings indicate, such as a TR3 with bucket seats, as if you could get a bench seat .

Hi, I checked sellers feedback, no signs of even a private feedback relating to this transaction as having been compleated
