    it is plated steel as brass would be too expensive.

      Here's some pics of a NOS service replacement that was purchased over the counter in either 1970 or 1971. Good view of not only the original Weatherhead stamping, but also the mild steel tubing without rust.

          Here's one of my favorite C2 Weatherhead fittings; identify location . also notice symbols on the end connections.

            Wayne-is that part of the C2 fuel rail? not familiar with C2's.

                  Here's the front brake line junction block from my Dec '68 L71. Weatherhead logo plus what appears to be a julian date.
