Re: Tire size 70 corvette
In 2010 I had to wait until Tirerack had the Goodyear GTII 255/60-15 in stock to order. What a great difference in the ride that new tires make.- Top

Re: Tire size 70 corvette
I'm running Goodrich 255/60-15' on 8" rims on my 68. Zero problems. But with F41, there is of course no suspension movement.- Top

Re: Tire size 70 corvette
I have been using 245/60-15 BFG Radial T/As with stock 76 aluminum wheels on my 70 LT-1 for years with no issues. I have used both the stock 9 leaf spring and also a 7 leaf F-41 from time to time. There is a picture of my car in the "What are you working on now" thread.- Top

Re: Tire size 70 corvette
215/70-15 and 225/70-15 will work well, as it was said. 255/60-15 will do also, provided the correct suspension height.

Re: Tire size 70 corvette
Hi Bill, I have a new set of four Goodyear Eagle ST Radial tires that we had on my wifes 1970 Corvette. We recently put original style Wide Ovals back on the car for NCRS judging. If you are in the market for a like new used set with only 150 miles on them let me know. I would be happy to get you pictures and more details. John- Top

Re: Tire size 70 corvette
Hi Bill,
The tires were purchased back in 2008 and were on the car for one year. We put approx. 150 miles on them and decided to put the Original style Bias Ply Wide Ovals back on the car for NCRS Top Flight Judging. Since we only drive the car short distances we have decided to leave the Wide Ovals on the car. Please let me know if you have anymore questions.
