Regarding your expansion tank balance hose routing question, how do you interpret UPC 11-13 A4? The first 2 strap loops, closest to the firewall, appear orientated down. The 3rd loop, cosest to the radiator, appearsorientated up. And, the hood support is not shown. It does look like the hose bends upward before turning to the radiator which would cause me to conclude that it goes on the outward side of the hood support. If wayne were to reorientate his first 2 stra loops down and the last one up and route the hose behind the hood support I think it would look just like the AIM drawing on UPC 11-13 A4.

I remembered John Hinckley going over this subject not long ago, something about the drawing in the 1966-67 AIMs being correct for 1965 but inaccurate for 1966-67. I found the Thread, see John's reply in post 10 and Larry Mulder's follow up in post 11: '67 Expansion Tank Hose Tie Straps

I just checked, the 1965 AIM does show the expansion tank balance hose (along with the wire harness) clearly going outboard of the hood support on UPC 12-A8, referenced in the link above.

Scott I will take some more pictures as mine is now finished with the engine installed. If it is not 100% correct I am certain some will chime in. Thanks Mike

I missed your post, if you have pictures it would be great to see them. If someone can comment on what's correct (or not), it might help to figure out why it went from two hose clips on the RH inner fender skirt for small blocks with C60 in 1964-1965 (and 1966?), down to just one hose clip for 1967.
