By the way, I like to polish but I love to drive.
You need a trip to Maine, my car needs some polishing. Drove it this morning to the gym. I keep putting off the work I need to do on it. I guess once it really snows , I will get down to work.

Do you know of a glass repair shop that can change my windshield in MA, I will drive the car down. Insurance will pay for it.

I've had the pleasure of meeting a few Dutch Chapter members while I was living and studying in Maastricht, Netherlands. They are great people with great cars. Enjoy!

You will have a fabulous time in Europe with your '63. I would think it might be so much better if your wife could be with you for this one. Great food, great wine (and you know I am lifting my glass up to you right now as I speak) and an envious trip.

As to your book, we all would like to be included but we know that is not possible for you. We all await the printing!
        Happy travels!

It would be cheaper for you to work on the ship on your way over and back like the dude did in the movie "World's fastest Indian"
          It's a good life!

On my budget , I may have to. Lots and lots of reading, research to do first.

The information and links for a possible trip have been very helpful and I hope they continue.

As I become more knowledgeable , I will have more specific questions on roads, countries, car safety. As was my US trip, I hope to avoid major cities with the car. A safe place in the countryside to park it, and a train ride in.

              Thanks for you help Paul

                Thank you Rob,

I am reading and researching. The links are great and I hope they continue to be posted for me.

As you can imagine, I still have to deal with my absence from home again . Funding for the trip, responsibilities here at home delegated, car preparation and as pointed out, a million other details.

I have to keep in check my emotions until I have all the facts needed to make it a successful trip.

                Cheers

                Jack

PS what are some the greetings I would use in Holland to say Hello or Goodby

                    Hi,

If I can put it all together, my wife may join me for a week or so. Lot of stuff to do for this trip.

400 HP , wow, 6 speed? Traffic ? snow in the south, hope you have snow tires. I just got back from a 2 hour ride. Top down, 20 degrees out, roads are dry, no snow here.

Just put my parka on , sunglasses , a little brandy and off I go

Be safe and stay off roads until snow is gone, people in the south do not know how to drive in these conditions

                    Jack

Rob took me on the "windmill and tulip country side" tour in October. What a fantastic weekend! It is a must for you when you get to Europe. Below is a quick preview. Thanks again Rob!

                        Best,

You are so right Jack! I am garaging my corvette collection and driving my husbands 4 wheel drive Lexis to work during this cold spell. It has been good to me and I will not sell it upon my hudands demiss.
                          Unfortunately for me,

Jack-Because I live "just up the road a piece" I know that you're not going anywhere in the 66 today. I suspect that you will be snow blowing most of the day. You might contact Neil Martin at Goldenrod Garage in Freeport. I know that he ships cars to Europe and he might have some ideas.

No driving today, but I did go 100 miles yesterday from Cape Elizabeth to Georgetown to visit a friend. It may be the last ride for a while.

I know Neil a bit , he stored my car about 8 years ago.
