    Dom -

I think you'll find that the trim tag is attached with two 3/16" pop-rivets, and the VIN plate is spot-welded.

      John,
Thanks for straightining me out, I had it backwards as I was upside down and not as young as I was. Also gun shy because when I looked for my tags on my 67 they were both gone. Removed because of AS/IS sale.
All I could think of was that maybe my 67 tags were stolen instead of removed as they said and they also tried to steal the 63 tags with a dull drill bit. The vin actually looked like someone tried to drill it out with a dull bit and gave up. I felt the back of the tag and it had a dimple ( like the back of a pop rivet) and never saw a spot weld leave one like that before.

        Dom,

Sounds like the vin tag is like all other 63's. I think everything is in order except the parts that were missing.

Definately give the Jeep search a try, I bet it's somewhere out there. Can you tell me what bolt the round tag is mounted to on the rear cover. This indicates 3.36 posi, I believe it should be on the passenger side bolt just above horizontal like the 2 o"clock position on the rear cover.

          Tim,
I think you are right but I will go double check later today.
