Don't misunderstand, nothing is impossible to have occurred with these old cars, from the factory or dealer. It is just that I have never seen anything like this when I spent over a year searching for a'67 L71, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen of course. I think it is possible for a dealer to have added the K19 option (A.I.R. system), but just think it odd that the VIN was changed to reflect that and a plate welded on the frame. Also, the '67 judging manual has no mentions of such a variant, so if yours is authentic, it is very rare and should be documented in the next manual update. You should report this variant to the '67 chief judge at a national or regional and discuss.
