The Union didn't design the POS being sold by GM, the Union didn't make the deals on suppliers selling inferior parts. The CEO and all the other yes men at the top did. (who have no gasoline in their blood) So point the finger in the correct direction. You don't have a clue. Are you getting minimun wage or less for what do do ? GREED Baby ruined things here. The Union took crumbs compared to what the guys running the show got. Wake up America.
ps. nice pic of Mao in background while on vacation in China.- Top

Re: What can NCRS do to support made in USA?
Henry,
Let me tell you my story! I bought my vintage corvette as a present to myself when I graduated from nursing school in 1980 in PA. Continuing on I put myself thru another 9 years of school (by myself working beyond full time, 60 per week plus going to school full time).
I am a nurse anesthetist now, Love my job, do not regret anything I had to do to get where I am but I was never given anything along the way. So what is your point?

Point is when a broad statement is made like the one you made about "our UNIONS pricing the US out of being competitive in the manufacturing/export market" and then saying anyone not agreeing with you has been living under a rock, you are going to get slammed!
Just as you took exception for my comments (as you should) and explained how you worked hard to get where you are today (AND I commend you for that although you don't need my reinforcement) your reference to that "simple assembly line" worker was out of line along with blaming UNIONS for the demise of manufacturing in the country today. You blaming the UNIONS would be the same as blaming your profession for all the malpractice lawsuits in our country today which would be ridiculous.
EVERY WORKER in the U.S. today have better working conditions and benefits because the labor movement fought for those rights AND if you don't know THAT then you are the one living under the rock!!- Top
