Colors liked most and perhaps not so much so

I hear various vette lovers voice their opinions on Car colors such that "they love color x" or they really "don't like color y". Are there certain colors that are known to be favored over others, in general, and are there certain colors that only have a smaller following????

PS, As you know, people have changed the color of these cars from the original just to suite tastes!!!

Very much depends on the car.

As a rule of thumb, I think red is way too "ordinary" - everyone who wants his car to look fast chooses red...
Then my personal opinion (again) is that the darker the color the more of the lines get washed away by reflections.

So, I got my '77 in perfect "orange" hue!


Taking into account what I wrote first: 58-67's black on red interior look terrific!

I bought my 64 painted Black cherry. I have had a lot of positive reactions. I like Nasa Blue or Daytona blue.

Anthony, check out the production numbers (accurate??) in The Black Book and others to see what was ordered. 'Interesting to look at each year.

Yes, Ken , you got it! Your first guess was best, Laguna Blue. Re-painted in correct color four years ago at a costly sum by the prior owner.

I'll bite. My two favorite colors for a midyear are Mosport Green (in 66) and Goldwood Yellow (in 65).

Speaking only for 55 I was lucky to find a real original copper 55 which is one of only 15 sold , I never in 40 years ever seen one , most that are called rare are yellow. Now I know of three being painted copper and more on the way. Like yellow ! it's now common to see them.

There's a front quarter view in the October issue (pg 15) of Vette Vues along with three angle shots of Roy's car (pg 6). They did a nice job of covering the event.

I like a Corvette in most any color tho I do have favorites. What gets me is when they come in unusual color combinations like this one. I love the Steel Cities Gray and I love the Bright Blue interior, just not together.
