The footprint of your garage almost looks the same as your home!! I love the idea and cost of a garage basement. I would also love to see photos (exterior & interior) of your finished garage. Outstanding idea and look.

Rick, probably won't get to take pictures of the inside until the weekend. I had to stuff the contents of my wrap around porch into it so I could stain it last night and it ain't pretty.

About the size of my home...Funny you say that the footprint looks as big as the house. My "garage" also included a second story for a new master bedroom and a new living room, the basement was mostly an after thought that just worked out great. The joke during construction was, "My garage is bigger than my house". And it is, it is 6' higher!

I bought this little building for my cars and parts.
30'x60' X 2 floors - about 4 miles from my home

It has a ramp to park my cars on the 2nd floor.







My garage at home got too crowded.



The wife is happy - she gets to park inside again.

Jeff that's magic !! Can I come and park my cars in there too. Although it looks like you have done a pretty good job of filling it all by yourself.
Now if you win that new Camaro, where are you going to put it ?
I love the ramp up to the second floor.
I never saw a bed in there. I reckon you need a little Nanna nap area in there for a siesta around 2 PM on the weekends. And a Bar for the boys and some girls on a Friday night after work.
That would just about do it for me for the rest of my life.
Do you have trouble in choosing which car to drive ?

Rick, here's the best part. Shortly after completing the garage the vette went to the body shop for a while and my wife was able to park inside until the car came back. She liked parking inside. We've already picked a spot for an additional garage and she wants a spot for her car and a C6!

I'll hopefully get finished pics up this weekend.

The sleeper sofa and entertainment area is on the first floor.
2 bathrooms, a washer dryer, Cable TV, High speed internet, and a fridge full-o-beer.
Only thing I don't have is a shower.

The one draw back is the ceilings are only 8' - so the lift had to go in at the house.
