The 65 was also at the Amelia Island show a few years back.
I think both the 63 and 65 cars used the same display equip.Bob

Here's a link that shows some more of the original display. The comment at the bottom indicates the "keyhole" in the frame for the sidepipe mount on the 65 display. This would make us believe the whole display might have been changed as the 63 frame did not have this feature.

        OK,

Speedo cable hook up is on the driver side. Not correct for a muncie and the e-brake set up is 65 not 63. Cool post Tom Thanks it's been awhile since I had seen it. Does anyone know if it was repainted when restored?

So that's how you know so much about it RJ I imagine you spotted a ton of 63 parts on the chassis. Did you take any pics? Did you see what was on the engine pad? Tell the truth. JD

Give the observation award to BJ, with a runnerup to MH. I was aware of a showing of the '63 at a small town (but long time) display in PA, but repeated contacts with the local Historical Society gave no satisfaction as to where and what it was. I'd go along with its transition to '65.
The Grotewold dealership in a small town in Iowa was one of the few that would receive a full transporter load of Corvettes. Those kids in Iowa knew where to go!

I understand that Paul Andrews bought the model in 2009 at RM from Al Weisman. He also owns the 1962 SEBRING / DAYTONA Dr. Dick Thompson / Grady Davis car among others. So the display is in good company, and I am sure we will enjoy it sometime in the future.

That 65 blue coupe was first shown and sold at the Cyprus gardens show, I talked to the guy and tried to buy it from him, Curt Worden (65 66 big tank car fame) got the owner to bring it to the show, the guy had no idea what he had, he told ME he found it at a (out of the country) College in storage and the school was about to scrap it. I remember it had no vin but it had a 65 trim tag. Phil 8063
