I think that NCRS should require a performance guarantee of all Driveline vendors for any NCRS member that uses the vendor's services or buys the vendor's product. The vendor could quote (in print) whatever timeline and price he likes, but if he doesn't live up to his claims, and the NCRS member can prove it with written documentation, then give the vendor the boot from advertising in the Driveline. The old car hobby is expensive (the old joke: the only way to make a small fortune in old cars is to start with a large fortune)and old Corvettes especially so. A little control on what those dollars actually get would be a good thing.

their located in philly on orthodox street just off of I95 at the aramingo exit.
btw--sorry to hear/read about the problems with their turnaround, but i've not had these problems with them. i've had them do work on my previous c-1 and their currently doing work on another. however, i have the luxury of droping my work off at their shop. just my opinion.

me and all my friends have been using peach plating in the atlanta area. they did my 57 2 years ago and did my 70 and 72 in the last 6 months. every job they have done for me has been great. i told them i need the 72 stuff back quick and got it back in 2 weeks. i used another vender in the ny area a few years ago(nuchrome) and it was like what you guys are describing. i was not happy with the job or the service. peach has good prices and they will also do flash chrome

Well, I am glad to know that it was not just me! Like you, I will go out of my way to make sure that he never gets any money from anyone I know!
I got the bumper to fit last night. I wrapped the bumper well in towels and beat the snot out of it with a 10lb. sledge hammer amd wooden blocks on the concrete floor until I got it to fit. It took a couple of passes, until it was right, but in the end, I did not crack the chrome or scratch the bumper. I will get over this in time, but I will never forget!
