    2006 PV Prep.

Well, getting ready for a PV at Marlborough this month.

So far, I've spent many hours with the following:

    • Reset the TPMS with a reset tool
    • Zip-tied the yellow connector under the driver's seat to avoid code B0041
    • Zip-tied the yellow connect tighter to the bottom of the driver's seat to avoid code B0041
    • New batteries in the FOB's
    • Fixed all the deducts from the Regional Flight Judging that I could
    • Clean the drilled rotors
    • Put on the new (NOS) wiper blades

Now I can start the PV at the house and fix whatever has a problem. Fingers crossed.

Harry, one more small detail, test fit and operation of the two trunk keys attacked to each FOB. I found one key had a difficult time seating completely due to ****z in the key lock mechanism, also I had to use a wirebrush to clean metal fibers on one key, MAY THE PV GODS BE WITH YOU.

            Harry,

How's the E-Brake? I recall you have to drive at xx MPH, then slam E-Brake to stop the car.

After your test run, check TPMS 4 corners again, to make sure they're reading properly.

It's possible the pendulum effect of the abrupt stop could affect pressure readings.

P.S. Ed H told me this, as it happened to his car.

Rich, the application of the Ebrake is accomplished at approximately 3-5 mph first forward then reverse the 35-40 mph is the test of the ABS SYSTEM. That test is what caused my TPWS to record (0) on my DIS, Pete invoked the 15 min rule, that turned out OK

To everyone that helped with the preparation for the PV, Thank you.

I passed the PV on Friday afternoon. The test was delayed due to rain and wet roads. It took about 2 hours and 20 minutes to complete. Pete Bergman is very good, thorough, and nothing went untested.

Now I can relax till the National.

                            Harry, Awesome! Congratulations!

Well deserved as you worked so hard on the prep.

P.S. So I take it...... The Auto-Dimming mirrors worked well. Did Pete do the flashlight thing like we did?

Yes, on the auto dimming. I could not get it to work till I took it out of reverse. Fifteen seconds of sweat!
