That's a lot of $$$ (approx. $2,000?) stacked there in Steve's Post #50 on the first page of this thread!

Who knew back then when we routinely replaced our air and oil filters & PCV valves that some 50 yrs later they would be highly sought after NOS collector parts that are practically non-existent today!

BTW - this thread pasted below mentions the fake jobs added to later filters, some guys here were aware a decade plus ago.

I have been following this thread. Very informative. I have a 1967 L79 and hope to find the correct the correct filter one day. My car is currently fitted with an NOS AC 212 filter but it has the expanded metal diamond shaped screen. The spare I have (still in box) lists applications up to 1979. The print date on the box is 1981.

If someone is going to write an article on the history of these air filters, I can supply photos if requested.

On a related subject, I recently acquired a vintage AC promotional counter stool. The stool cushion is in the shape of a A212CW and even shows the square mesh on the outside. Must date from the late 1960's.

Eary 70's, that mesh wasn't invented until the warrantly issues from 69-71...

That stool is an awesome find Rocco. And I like its A000CW depiction. Fits everyone's car. My friends and I call these collectibles "Shopisphere."
