And they had more than just two examples of each letter or number stamp. We’ve seen this photo many times. In just this one collection, there are 11 S’s, 5 R’s, etc. I don’t think any of the R’s shown here are the short leg variety. So, they had more than this collection shows.

Gary, i understand Like Pat explain the plant could of had separated holders for the RF- RD-and so on , but i learn that the later RF the R mostly had the shorter leg what confusing me is i found three F0604RF two with short leg and one long leg R's stamp on the same day- Top

Sooooo the best latest answer to Danny's OP is May 6 as shown in Patrick's #17 posted picture. If anyone has any pictures documenting any earlier use of the 'short legged R', this would be the time and place to post them.- Top

No. Read previous posts and review photos to understand that the introduction of the short leg R did not eliminate the use of all the other different type styles of R simultaneously for the rest of the production year.- Top
