Re: More Sad News- Loren Lundberg

Rest In Peace in Heaven Loren.
Spoke with him via telephone June 27th asking him about his health. He said "I don't have long"
Will miss his common sense approach to life and our visits especially at local swap meets.
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
    I hope you dance

I met Loren at a Arizona meet in 1980. All the AZ guys were there that are talked about in the story of the CAMORADI car. Jim Jeffords, famous race driver, was interviewed at his home in 1986 and shared history of the CAMORADI at SEBRING and the 56 SR-2. I taped it on my RCA VCR camera.

I saw Loren at Lake Tahoe NCRS Regional 2019. We had a great reunion with Rich Mason and Joe Freitas and many NCRS friends. I talked on the phone Memorial Day weekend.

I will miss my good friend. Best to Priscilla and family.

Corey Peterson put together a nice piece for Loren's place on the NCRS Memorial Wall. You might want to visit it. Here is a link to the funeral home that is having Loren's service. Heritage Funeral Chapels. You can leave a tribute there if you like.

When Priscilla called on the 5th, I had to cry. Met Loren at the 1981 NCRS National Meet at San Mateo. He was showing a 1962 Corvette and I was restoring a 1961. He even came to Oklahoma to install the dash pad. We had many phone conversations and contact at shows over the years. He and Art Armstrong also helped supply valuable information during the restoration of the SR1. I supplied his Oklahoma crash pad...usually unannounced!!! LOL Sally and I plan to attend the service. RIP Great Friend!!! You will be missed!

Very sad to hear. Another of The old Southwest Chapter icons has passed. As a young board member of the SW Chapter back in the early 90s Loren took me under his wing and gave me some great guidance. the after board meetings at Bob "Bober" Rosebaugh's house formed my foundation for how I approached NCRS and the local chapter.

Since then I always enjoyed my conversations with Loren. A particularly long one at the bar at the Vegas national comes to mind (although I don't remember what we talked about LOL)

May Sourdough Sam tip his hat to a leader in our hobby. He will be missed. Eric

Sad to hear of Loren's passing. What a loss to all of us and of course his family. He was such a wealth of knowledge. May God Bless Loren.

Sorry to hear of Loren's passing. Met him at Carlisle years back. He was, simply put, a good guy.

Very sad to hear about Loren's passing. As a founding member of the Southwest/Arizona Chapter I found him to be a wealth of information and considered him one of the "good guys." As many others have already posted, his presence at functions was always fun.
                  May he Rest in Peace.

Loren and Brian would come by the NCRS booth at B-J Scottsdale and tell war stories. Happy memory. RIP, Loren.

Re: More Sad News- Loren Lundberg

Like others in our Corvette restorers world I've read many articles written by Loren. I had the pleasure to chat with him at the South Lake Tahoe regional meet in 2019. Flight judging my 57 for the first time, he gave me several tips. A Corvette icon is gone, RIP, my condolences to his family.

Brian, if you have memorable stories about Loren, we'd love to hear them from you. Your Restorer articles were some of the first things I read as a new (and continued) fuelie owner.

For some reason I am just now seeing this, too sad, I didn't know the man personally but his posts often had me smiling. Between this and John Hinckley's recent passing I'm starting to dread logging on here. RIP Sir...
