Going for my Duntov on my 1967 427/435, So I already have a raw 97% at a National's in Texas 2017, just to make it clear do I have to go to a Regional or Nationals to do a rigorous performance test and again score again a 97% and then a third time at a National again score 97% and do everything within 3 years and a total of three 97% score sheets, Danny

Danny, if you have a raw 97 at a national, you then need the PV and you'll have your 2 prerequisites for the Final Duntov judging at a convention. 97 at a convention counts as a qualifier same as a regional...(as long as the car was under your ownership for the first 97 in TX

Danny, You need to score 100 percent on the PV, not 97. No failures.

Vinnie, so i,am going for my PV at a Regional as long as I pass the PV and then another final raw 97% at a National for the Duntov , is there a score for PV test or they only do a rigorous performance test on the car for PV.

Danny, if any one of the line items fails on the PV you fail the PV. Simple example, you turn on the radio and prior to hearing music you get internal static from the radio, you just failed the PV.

Thanks Harry just figure it out how the PV works now , so if I pass the PV and then a need another Raw 97% at a national for Duntov , is there time frame onsite if a item fails to repair it and get it tested again,

you can go to another regional right after the failure...I would highly recommend you get together with someone who has gone thru a PV before and do a couple of them before you get to the regional for the actual test...if an item fails, you have 15 minutes to fix/repair it...then if another item fails during the test after it has resumed...you fail, no more fixes

Thank Vinnie, I thought so too you had time to fix /repair , for sure i would have to go thru the PV few times and make sure everything works , you know how things goes everything could work 100 times with no problems then you actual do the PV test then something stupit comes up, thanks Vinnie

Print them and practice, practice, practice--as Vinnie said-- with someone who had endured this.

Danny,

I believe at least at one time if something failed during the PV, you had 15 minutes to to fix the dilemma. Maybe someone else on the DB can confirm this. Best of luck !!!👍

15 minutes for one fix, then you continue on, if any other item fails after the fix, then you are DONE! Then it is a long weekend. Be sure to have plenty of gas.

Did you own the car when it was judged at the San Antonio Nationals last year? I don't see your name on the list.
