Hey Burt- Funny you should post this image now. In 1958, Ruth Glennie worked with a Harley Earl group called... 'The Damsels of Design'.
A few months ago, I helped the owner of that Corvette get reunited with his original Vehicle Record Book, from Chevrolet Engineering:

Yes Jack, the linked information does note that she was one of nine women hired with
different educational and design backgrounds that became known by that moniker.
Apparently the car was exhibited at The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA) On its premises,
          from February 18 - May 28, 2023.

Bert- If I remember korrectly, Ruth even designed different interiors on the 1958 'Fancy Free' Corvette, for the different seasons.

Re: POST OLD PICTURES of CORVETTES HERE - NOSTALGIA

Going thru those pictures looking at the race cars there's the Lotus turbines driven by Graham Hill, Joe Leonard, and Art Pollard which would make this the 1968 Indy 500. That would explain why all the Corvettes are either solid axle cars or Stingrays. 1968, when a '65 fuelie coupe was just another used car.

Chris, thanks for the link to these terrific pictures. This event was called the "Indianapolis Time Trials 500 Rally". 1968 Corvette News Vol. 11 No. 6 has an article about it titled "3 Miles of Corvettes". The article states over 900 Corvettes attended.

Interesting how many had side pipes, and the number of customized cars.

I spoke with my mother about this photo, and she isn't sure where it was taken. Most likely in one of the parks in the Tawas, MI area.
