King do you know that the freshly painted bolt just to the right of the right fuel pump mounting bolt can be removed and a longer bolt used to suspend the fuel pump rod for a much easier fuel pump installation when working from under the car replacing a fuel pump? When the engine is rotated enough to retract the fuel pump rod also helps a lot.

shouldn't the exhaust manifolds have over spray on them?

Not on 67 SB the manifolds were assembled after paint.

I think your cylinder head gaskets are too thick. S/B steel shim gasket.

Fuel pump gasket S/B black paper not blue. Spark plugs should have amount of orange overspray. Too much paint on engine and coverage were not possible. S/B painted as assembly not separate pieces. The screws on the two 90 elbow clamps are incorrect. S/B flanged slotted.

Geno Thanks. Blue gasket noted and will be changed. Engine assembled and painted as a unit over spray on intake gaskets and intake manifold, over spray on nuts of spark plugs. No paint behind water pump or on front of timing chain cover where water pump covers in timing chain cover. Metal shim gaskets are on the engine. I'll check the clamp screws on the bypass hose. The cs bolt and spacer are natural now as well as the upper left hand bolt on the water pump/alternator bracket has been corrected.
          Jim good tip!

One item unclear on was the clip holding the metal vacuum advance tube was it black phosphate or painted dull silver. Aim seems to show it in place before the painting.

King, the screws on the bypass hose need to be slotted fillister screws. If you need a pic, let me know and I can shoot you one. Regards...ARA

The slotted fillister should have a flanged shoulder.

                    King,

Are the mounting bolts for the fuel pump correct? Thought they had a shoulder and a captured washer.

Are you missing the "HT" label at the rear of the rocker cover?

Missing ground strap from motor to under shielding bracket on rear drivers side of motor, also the carb studs look too long and can't see dimple on tops?

                            Re: to pick nits.....

HT is on valve cover now. Carb studs are original (well presumed to be). The wire looms were painted black? Mine are black up by the plastic coated wire dividers but the black trails off as it goes down the bracket.

Ara is the ground strap you are referring too the strap that goes from the accelerator to the shielding bracket?

your carb to mfld gasket looks purple-ish, IIRC it should be dark gray.

No 1/2 right. The RH bracket with the molded on vinyl is bare steel. Only the LH bracket is black.
