    I use silicone brake fluid in my 1968 and 1970. Even after years of use I can see the bottom of the master cylinder cavities when fluid is checked.

      Adding to what Jim wrote, the wheel cylinder in the photo below saw only silicone fluid for the 22+ years it was in service and never once required any maintenance like flushing/bleeding the brakes. The cylinder wall is pristine.
