Congratulations for having the money to burn Mike. Many of us are in the hobby because we love these cars, not because we are rich.

we all know the NCRS is a retired rich man hobby. But there still are some working people in NCRS that still want a top flight car and still do it how this club started. By doing most every thing them self.

I'm not retired, nor rich, I'm the only person that works on my car, and was one of the very few that actually drove to the Regional (575 miles each way).

I am of the belief that if one extra night at a hotel would somehow impact my life I probably shouldn't have gone for the first two nights to begin with. For those who aren't "rich" like me and run out of money after the second night and still think it's a good idea to attend a Regional, well I can't fix that.

I enjoy the four day event and I also look forward to driving to a National one day.

theres room in sand box for everyone if we all remember why we want the awards. and I hope it's because we want to persevere the heritage of these cars.

Dave: Not sure how your coming up with your figures. If I attended I would surely stay till Sunday AM before the trip home. Very few would take off Saturday night(after loading the car on the trailer and checking things for safety) after a full day of judging and etc. I would think that a 3 day stay at the hotel would be the norm. I'm not really concerned as much with the cost as with the time needed for this event from start to finish. I enjoy the people and cars just as well as others. Larry

I can see it now using a "GoPro" for a PV. Checklist in hand, when finished, hit send along with the necessary fees.

Please leave the Regionals and the Nationals as they are. Highlights of the year for me and my kids. I don't get to a lot, but, the ones I get to are great.

I do indeed, but I thought is was gonna go on a 65. That is a beauty for sure!!

What I remember most about that deal is shortly after I shipped it Tom's way, I painted my car with the two remaining gallons that I had. I jacked up my paint job trying to shoot it in my workshop in 90 degree weather. In the process of "fixing" it, I ran slap out of paint. You know the old saying "no good deed goes unpunished"... I scrambled for about a month trying to find more 99S black lacquer. I finally did through a post on the Hokie Azz Message Board (HAMB) forum.

I haven't buffed mine yet, but am hopeful it will looks as good as Tom's car.

We really appreciate you supplying 'Blackbird' with lacquer. I'm sure you would appreciate the 'loud' paint in the jambs, drip rail, lower valances, etc. Below the belt line, it's like sandpaper. Even JunkY and Hansen will dig it!

OK; this should be my last entry on this thread before we all get too bored. We heard a lot of pro's/con's on the subject. He is my conclusion:

I believe my logic will indeed win out at the end. I see there was no C3's at the Joplin Regional and it will not get any better in the future.

Note to NCRS: (Captain of the Titanic) : Please change course asap; there is an iceberg ahead. Please don't take us all down. Larry
