60' under the covers and keeping warm until the snow melts next spring. Then its off to Bloomington Gold and the Route 66 "mother road" festival in 2007.

Yes, drive my 66 convertible whenever possible. Showed it first time this fall at Chapter and received Top Flight. Calling for 60 degrees in Iowa Saturday...it will be out!

Not all road trips are a piece of cake

Back in Feb 1980, when Corvettes were still more plentiful and cheaper in the U.S., we Canucks would venture forth in search of booty. Here we are somewhere north of Idaho Falls, ID, on our way to Calgary AB.

I'm in the yellow '65 convert I had just bought in Nacogdoches TX; the white '65 coupe towing the '66 silver convert were picked up in Sioux Falls SD.

I will be doing the final tune-up for preparation of our local chapter flight judging. Maybe some other time or place. We will be having a regional in the summer of 08 here in the Detroit area, maybe you can make that trip. That or the famous Woodward Dream Cruise which is the 3rd Saturday of August each year.

roy , my '63 has Top Flighted every other year for the last 6 and each meet the score improves. I drive the car at least 2500 miles a season and love it, I get constant compliments on the road and at shows. When it is judging time I speed the time and some $ to paint and replace items and go to the meet. The therapy is worth for me like so many of us. I really feel this is the way these cars were meant to be enjoyed, what a wonderful option, the best of both worlds. Remeber we're only custodians of these great cars for the next guy and I want him to enjoy it the way I did. Good luck JIM

Got my 66 in late April, 2006, and have already driven it about 1,300 miles. I think people generally like to see these classics on the road. Drive it and enjoy it. I wish I had more time to take it out. No snow and no rain driving however. That would be sinful.
