Is there a supplier for the H/L washer hose anti siphon 3 way connector out there?

Re: 70 HL washer anti siphon barrel?
Dennis, I don't think the tees at the headlights have any anti-siphon properties; unless I'm mistaken, the tees serve only to split the flow to the upper and lower nozzles. Back flow or leakage is prevented by having an air-tight system combined with the little rubber disc valves in the pump. The good news is that Doc Rebuild has the tee connectors...the bad news is you're going to have to buy the headlight washer hose kit to get them.- Top

Chuck
This connects like a regular tee only accross the horizontal of the "T" is a white barrel about a 1/2" in diameter and 7/8" long. The short hoses go from either side to the H/L spayers. The vertical leg,(nipple), connects to the long hose from the pump. This is a one way valve that I believe prevents washer fluid leakage. I could be wrong. Dennis- Top

Gee Chuck, I thought they were an anti-syphon device, but I can't tell you where I picked up that concept. Now how can we determine the answer? Let's rule out destructive testing right off the bat. Any ideas?Terry- Top

Re: 70 HL washer anti siphon barrel?
Dennis, it sounds like you have checked these tees and found they definitely have a one-way flow valve; i.e. a spring loaded check valve that opens with pump pressure to allow flow through the tee, but then closes to prevent leakage out of the long tubing run. In retrospect, it actually makes more sense than not having the check valve.
It has been a long time since I looked at those tees...got to watch that "assuming", eh, Terry. I apologize for commenting on something I wasn't sure about, but the answer on the source is still the same...Doc Rebuild. From Doc Rebuilds description, you get the tees if you buy the hose kit. Re: 70 HL washer anti siphon barrel?
The only test that I am aware of for the Tee/check valve, is to quickly dry the headlamps after washer actuation, lower the headlamps, and observe a lack of continuing flow from the headlamp washers. I know some team leaders who do this during performance verification.Terry- Top
