I should have thought of that. I checked my 69 AIM and couldn't find it. John said it was discontinued in 67 so I'll dig up a 67 AIM and see what it shows. I'm still a little confused about how coolant would flow if the intake location was plugged. I surely don't want to cook something. I'll keep after this until it makes sense. Thanks for your ideas!

Is there any chance anyone might post the C-48 heater delete option on the 67 BB?
I don't have the 67 AIM or I would do it myself. Thanks a million, I know it's a pain.....

There was no heater delete option for 1968 and later---even L-88's were equipped with a heater. Why? Well, for the 1968 model year federal regulations required that all cars be equipped with a defroster. No heater= no defroster. So, all 1968 and later got a heater.
